During June and early July 2008, I travelled through Ethiopia, Namibia, Yemen, Eritrea and Djibouti with my youngest son, Andrew. This travel diary describes our great adventure on a day-by-day basis.
Entries were uploaded whenever we could get internet access, which was unfortunately not every day.
I published an online travel diary at the time, but the formatting used back in 2008 means that the original pages load far too slowly to meet expectations these days. Therefore, the original diary entries are reproduced here with new formatting for faster loading plus lots of extra images from the trip.
