In June 2023, my wife (Di) and I undertook a trip together through Scotland and the Faroe Islands. We had only visited Scotland once previously, which was 36 years previously (in 1987) with our three young children during a mid-term weekend at the school in Lancashire where I was working at the time. Neither of us had previously been to the Faroe Islands. It had been some five years since the two of us had enjoyed an extended trip together, so it was great to explore many new areas together.
