We spent Di’s birthday in Evighed Fjord, inland from Kangaamuit.  At 75 kilometres in length, Evighed Fjord is one of Greenland's longest fjords (though not the longest).  We had superb weather with clear blue skies, so after sailing through the fjord we stopped near the junction of three glaciers and took a short ride in a zodiac (small inflatable boat) across the turquoise waters to examine the face of the glaciers and the nearby bird cliffs at close range.
