From mid-June to mid-July 2010, I travelled through Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Israel. For most of the journey I travelled with my youngest son, Andrew, and for the final destination (Israel) my wife, Di, joined us. This travel diary describes the travels on a day-by-day basis.
I published an online travel diary at the time, but the formatting used back in 2010 means that the original pages now load far too slowly to meet today’s expectations. Therefore, the original diary entries are reproduced here with new formatting for faster loading plus lots of extra images from the trip.
