In July 2006, I had the great privilege of travelling through Central Asia with my youngest son, Andrew. We shared many memorable experiences, and my tour diary appears on these web pages.
I published an online travel diary at the time, but the formatting used back in 2006 looks antiquated today and it lacked images that could be enlarged. Therefore, the original diary entries are reproduced here with new formatting plus lots of extra images from the trip.
