Oman Travel Diary 2022 and 2023

Although Saturday is the second day of the weekend in Oman, today was a very full working day.  I conducted workshops and led meetings with the school’s board all day today in a government facility, the beautiful Al-Shafaq Club.  Although no photos are permitted in the facility, I did get special permission to make a video Facetime call to my daughter for her birthday from the room we were using for our workshops.

It was therefore only a little before sunset when I returned to my hotel.  Having been standing all day, I felt the need to get some more mobile exercise so I went for an evening walk in the area surrounding my hotel, focussing on the diplomatic zone along 2827 Way, the Sarooj Mosque, the commercial zone on Al Muntazah Street right up to where the street meets the beach, and the Beach Mosque on Al Kharjiyah Street.
