In late July and early August 2024, Di and I undertook a fairly unusual expedition through western Greenland. We flew to Reykjavik, capital city of Iceland, and boarded the MS Fridtjof Nansen, a vessel run by the Norwegian company Hurtigruten Expeditions. What followed was an unforgettable experience, seeing landscapes that very few people ever get to see accompanied by a team of highly knowledgeable geographers, botanists, ecologists, glaciologists, oceanographers and climatologists who helped us to interpret and understand the rare environments in which we found ourselves.
