Located 120 km east of Guiyang (the capital of Guizhou province), Majiang township is the administrative centre of Majiang County.

Like many townships in China, there is quite a construction boom in Majiang at the moment.

Nonetheless, many parts of Majiang still contain old wooden buildings with few facilities.
