The USAF Museum in Dayton (Ohio, USA) has an amazing collection of immaculately preserved and restored aircraft in three huge hangars, plus a smaller outdoor display.  Immense in scope and vision, it is truly one of the world’s great aviation museum.  This collection of 222 images (in three parts) gives just a taste of the enormous museum.  How many of these exhibits can you identify?  The museum’s website is http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil.   Click on any thumbnail for an enlargement.
