In November 2006, I travelled with 17 students from Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong to Lijiang, a UNESCO world heritage town in Yunnan province of south-west China.  Lijiang was our starting point for a 25 kilometre trek through Tiger Leaping Gorge and  several days’ work in a remote lepers’ village called Ma Chan.  This gallery shows some scenes taken during our brief stopover in Lijiang.  You can read the background to the trip by clicking “Lepers” in the menu above.  Click any image to enlarge it and experience the full impact of our experience in Lijiang.  You can see my images of Lijiang taken in 2005 HERE and HERE.
