In November 2007, I travelled with 16 students from Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong to Zhongdian, a largely Tibetan town in Yunnan province of south-west China.  Also known as Shangri-la, Zhongdian was the first stop in our China Week trip which also included working in a Tibetan orphanage at Waka (see details HERE), completing a 25 kilometre trek through Tiger Leaping Gorge (see details HERE), and visiting the beautiful city of Lijiang (see details HERE).  This gallery shows some scenes taken during our time in Zhongdian.  You can read the background to the trip by clicking HERE.  Click any image to enlarge it and experience the full impact of our experience in Lijiang.
